We Need Your Support

The Countryside is Only Here Once!

To keep up pressure in defence of rural Sussex, we need the support of likeminded people across the County. Our annual subscriptions are kept deliberately low at £5 for an individual and £8 for a family, with the option of a £25 benefactor rate.

By using our experience in dealing with the authorities, you can influence what happens to your surroundings. The larger our membership, the stronger is our voice with which to oppose inappropriate and harmful developments - so often permitted in defiance of local feelings.

We also need enthusiasts to actively help with our work. Most committee members have served since the WA was formed in 1996 and were not exactly young then! Younger blood on the committee will help to safeguard the future of the Association.

A Walker's Paradise Unspoilt, the Wiggonholt area offers beautiful scenery and relaxation in tranquil surroundings. It is not part of the two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) which form the South Downs, but was included in the Designated Boundary of the proposed South Downs National Park as a result of our efforts.
